Wavelength

Find out how the team really thinks.

Wavelength turns an abstract spectrum into a lively team debate. The rules disappear quickly, leaving colleagues to explain, disagree and discover just how differently they read the same clue.

How to play

Give the table a clear rhythm.

Use this as a quick first-game guide, then keep the official rules close for edge cases and exact details.

  1. Split into two teams

Choose a starting team and its first Psychic. Place the device where everyone can see the dial and scoring track.

  2. Hide the target

The Psychic draws a spectrum card, looks at the hidden target and closes the screen so nobody else can see its position.

  3. Give one clue

The Psychic says a concept that belongs somewhere between the two ends of the spectrum, without using numbers or the words on the card.

  4. Set the dial

Teammates discuss the clue and agree where to position the red dial. The Psychic listens but cannot add more information.

  5. Reveal and score

Open the screen and score according to where the dial landed. The other team may also score by correctly predicting which side it missed.

Before the first turn

Set up for a smooth start.

  • Put the device, spectrum cards and scoring marker in the centre.
  • Create two teams with a similar number of players.
  • Choose the first Psychic for each team.
  • Agree on a finish time or the standard ten-point target.

Make it a season

Turn shared instincts into a weekly league.

Save each team’s final score, rotate the Psychic and reshuffle the teams next time. Individual season points keep the table flexible even when attendance changes.
