How to play

Give the table a clear rhythm.

Use this as a quick first-game guide, then keep the official rules close for edge cases and exact details.

  1. Build every secret clover

Each player places four keyword cards into a clover board so two words appear beside each leaf. Keep every board hidden from the group.

  2. Write four linking clues

On each leaf, write one clue that connects the two adjacent keywords. Everyone creates clues at the same time.

  3. Remove and mix the cards

Take the keyword cards off the board, add one random decoy and shuffle all five cards without revealing the original positions.

  4. Reconstruct one clover together

The active player stays silent while the rest of the group uses the four written clues to choose and orient the four original keyword cards.

  5. Reveal, score and rotate

Check the proposed arrangement and score the correctly restored keywords according to the rules. Continue until every player’s clover has been solved.

Before the first turn

Set up for a smooth start.

  • Give each player one clover board and erasable marker.
  • Shuffle the keyword cards and demonstrate how their orientation creates four pairs.
  • Explain that each written clue must connect exactly two adjacent keywords.
  • Keep finished clovers hidden until their resolution turn.

Make it a season

Build one cooperative record across the team.

Save the total after every complete set of clovers and try to beat it with a different group. The shared score keeps the conversation collaborative rather than competitive.
