Party challenge guide

Photo scavenger hunt

Send the teams out. Bring the stories back.

A photo hunt lets guests move, improvise and make something together. The strongest prompts reward creativity rather than speed alone, and the shared reveal becomes the real finale.

How to play

Give the table a clear rhythm.

Use this as a quick first-game guide, then keep the official rules close for edge cases and exact details.

  1. Set the safe boundary

Show every team where they may go, when they must return and which people or spaces must not be photographed.

  2. Share the prompt list

Give all teams the same mix of easy, creative and bonus prompts with visible point values.

  3. Assign team roles

Choose one device holder, one prompt keeper and a timekeeper, then let roles rotate during the hunt.

  4. Return and submit

Teams select one image per completed prompt and send or show them using the agreed method before the deadline.

  5. Reveal and judge

Display the strongest entries, verify the required elements and award both prompt points and declared creative bonuses.

Before the first turn

Set up for a smooth start.

  • Define a safe area and a clear return time.
  • Ask permission before photographing people outside the game.
  • Prepare prompts that do not require trespassing, purchases or risky behaviour.
  • Choose how teams will submit and display photos privately.

Make it a season

Score the idea, not just the speed.

Give clear completion points and reserve a smaller bonus pool for originality. The reveal then celebrates every team rather than only the fastest runners.
